ORGANISATION PERIOD OF KHALVATİYYAH SUFISM IN SHIRVAN,
INSTITUTOR INDIVIDUALS ON THE WAY WHICH REACHES TO
SHABAN-I VELI
ABSTRACT
Sheikh İbrahim Zahid Gilani who is from
Suhreverdhi-Ebheri order had came near Lenkheran city in 13. century and
established a dervish lodge here. He had educated his dervish
who will be the institutors of Khalwatiyyah and Safawiyyah orders on this dervish lodge. One of these dervish’s,
Pir Omer had tried to spread this wise school, where will be named Khalwatiyyah
later, in regions of Herat, Tebriz and Shirvan. Meanwhile, Khalwatiyyah had
been taking place firstly at Herat and then, at Shirvan. Khalwatiyyah which is
in a constant period and became a local sufi school of region in Shirvan, had
entered to a new period at the beginning of 15. century. It had been completed
its progress by being resystematized by Seyyid Yahya Shirvani who is a young sufi master protected by Shirvanshah and had
entered to expansion period. Khalwatiyyah which had spreaded to Anatolia by
scholarly individuals came from some regions as Aydın, Erzincan, Karaman,
Çankırı, Kastamonu, Bursa to Baku where had became attraction center owing to
scholarly and literal characteristic of Seyyid Yahya who is called the second
institutor, had spreaded in the Balkans, Middle East Caucasia and Africa in a
short time and resulted to a major scholarly movements. The school which is
demanded by Ottoman government and society because that its belief structure
and sufistic perception is appropriate to the characteristics of Turkish people, had extended to more than
fourty sections and subsections in time. Khalwatiyyah which had been firstly
brought to Kastamonu by Seyyid Ahmet Sunneti, dervish
of Yahya Shirvani, generated an essential civilisation center here with
intellectuals from the subsection of Shabaniyye established by Sheikh Shaban-ı
Veli, member of Cemaliyye section. On the rescript; there will be the
organization process of this scholary school in Shirvan, its crucial representatives,
lifestories of the first and second institutors and their actions, transition ways of Khalwatiyyah from here to Anatolia and
Kastamonia mentioned.,
